This is a must watch for those who wonder how UA has progressed to the school it is today. Dr. Witt, past president at UA, and currently, the UA System Chancellor, reviews his history at UA, the Board’s desire to improve the image of UA, and how he and they achieved their goal. He also says that UA has received about 36,000 applications for this Fall, and will enroll a little over 7,000 freshman, with 1/4 to 1/3.5 of the class having a GPA of 4.0 or higher. He projects the school will soon reach an enrollment of over 40,000.

36,000 apps! that is amazing! Roll Tide!!

that “other” school in the state only got 17,000

He was actually speaking at the New York Business Breakfast, but he is an alumnus of a NY prep school.

Just to clarify, the Business Breakfast was sponsored by his high school alma mater, Fairfield (CT) College Prep, and took place at the Union League in NYC: https://www.fairfieldprep.org/page.cfm?p=2689

I had no idea he is originally from the Northeast–a graduate of Bates, Dartmouth and Penn State.

Wow. That is impressive. You mean Alabama didn’t just expolde on the national scene by accident? Huh.
