“Dream Colleges” (news item)

Princeton Review's 2009 'College Hopes & Worries Survey' Reports on 15,000 Students' & Parents' Application Experiences & 'Dream' Schools

PR has released the results of its “college hopes survey” which, in an admittedly unscientific poll, tabulates the answers to questions posed to students and parents online about their dream colleges. Princeton fell a bit in the survey this year but still does well. Stanford and Harvard came away with the top two spots and Columbia was the third most frequently named “dream” college among students. This ranking is mostly for fun but it’s still interesting to see the results.

“For the survey's only fill-in-the-blank question, "What 'dream college' do you wish you (your child) could attend if acceptance or cost weren't issues?", respondents wrote in the names of more than 700 institutions from Alaska Pacific University to Yale.
