Dream School vs. Full Ride

You might also want to consider Grand Valley State University…their class entrance stats are close to Michigan State and they give very nice merit scholarships. With your stats you would automatically get $2,000 a year (Award for Excellence) and would be invited in the winter to a scholarship competition where you would be awarded an additional $4,000 to $7,000 a year…so very close to full tuition if awarded the $9,000, and still super nice at $6,000. And since that is all merit you can still stack outside scholarships – I assume you will get the $1,000 a year Michigan Competitive Scholarship for your ACT scores. Their Honor’s Program was most impressive and the housing was excellent. They have a high retention rate and the students who go from our school really like it.

"Note that Michigan is just outside the USNWR top-25, at rank 29. So a pre-law student at Michigan would be well advised to aim for a top-10 law school, since his/her undergraduate school is not highly enough ranked for the purpose of law school pay levels. "

You can’t be serious with this statement.
