Have you tried the home dry cleaning products that you use in the dryer?
DD uses the dryer process all of the time. She hasnāt taken anything to the dry cleaners in years.
I hadnāt thought of the idea of home dry cleaning.
I did ask the question of how the blogger cleaned that blouse. She hand washed it and said it turned out fine
@deb922 You just gave me one more item to drool over at Anthropologie!
I have a rayon top that I spritzed with water and used the refresh cycle in the dryer to freshen it up between wears but havenāt had to wash yet. Iām not looking forward to washing as Iām clumsy with clothing that requires delicate handling.
Iāve been stalking this blouse on Anthropologie and wishing that I had an occasion coming up to justify buying it.

On a different note I have a fashion dilemma that Iām hoping to get help with from yāall. I bought this skirt (Spurred on by boredom and nostalgia) and Iām at a loss regarding shoes. I also have no where to wear it ? but thatās another storyā¦
I owned a similar skirt, in navy, decades ago that I used to wear with high heeled sandals. I canāt wear those kind of shoes anymore due to foot problems and the shoes the model is wearing arenāt for me. Iām open to any suggestions but itās an uphill challenge because of the size and support I would require. I like the boots the model is wearing with the denim skirt but canāt find anything like it.
@AnAsmom, very pretty shirt! I would wear it everywhere! You donāt need an occasion to wear a pretty top!
Iām not super sure of what to wear with that skirt. I might think to wear a pair of neutral wedges with it. These are ridiculously expensive but are so cute https://www.shopbop.com/frida-wedge-clog-no6/vp/v=1/1510674090.htm?fm=search-viewall-shopbysize&os=false&ref_=SB_PLP_NB_60
I would keep the shoe neutral to lengthen the line of your legs.
Just posting shoes Iāve been coveting lol!
@AnAsmom , how high of a heel can you wear?
A heel of 2 - 2.5 inches would be in my comfort zone but I have managed with 3 inches when I didnāt have to stand very long.
I have 2 pairs of higher heels that could work with the skirt but I just canāt wear those anymore. Ughā¦
Definitely wedges or platform sandals with that skirt! So cool. I had one of similar skirts back in the day. Wore it with a black turtleneck - before SJ made the combo of denim and black turtlenecks hip.
Can your feet tolerate a platform heel?
I have a pair of chunky Born platform sandals that my feet put up.
I really like that Lee skirt. Kinda retro & you could go straight or funky with it.
In the fall? Boots!
I love the Lee skirt! Memories.
I think I have some skirts like that Lee one in my closet!
@Midwest67 Iāve havenāt tried platform heels yet ā I have this irrational fear in my head that I will trip and fall.
My physical therapist recommended that I wear wedges (heels of up to 3 inches height) and so far Iāve stayed with that.
I like the Frida wedges that @deb922 linked upthread a lot but those are so expensive!
I love, love the nude Samira wedges but Birkenstock doesnāt work for me. My second toe is extra long and it bumps up painfully against the edge when I walk.
What can I say ā Iām a podiatristās dream patient, bunions, plantar fasciitis, tendinitis and severely pronated feet (thanks kids)!!
@AnAsmom , some options I like. Itās a heavier looking skirt, so I think you need a heavier looking sandal. I typed in grey and beige in the filter. These are just a few I found ranging from 2ā to 2 3/4ā. You really have a range on styles you can choose from.

(I like the leopard in the one above, with a black top).
ā I have this irrational fear in my head that I will trip and fall.ā
LOL! Remember the (British?) joke? A guy comes running into a train station, āHelp, my girlfriend fell off the platform and hurt her ankle!ā āWhich platform number did she fall off?ā āI donāt think there is a number on her shoes, but I think the platform is at least 5 inches!ā
Thanks @conmama that gives me a good idea of what I should be looking for. I liked the shoes from your second link as well as the Lucky Brand ones. I know LB works for my feet so thatās a plus.
@conmama I tried these flat Rockstud sandals on back in the day where their full price was āonlyā $500 or soā¦ nope. A $$$$ price does not automatically make a shoe comfortable. I did buy the chunky heel version on sale this year because I was bummed that we canceled every vacation possibleā¦ those ones are fine and look good on my feet. I also bought a wedge version off RealReal a while ago and kept it. I refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes.
Obviously, we all have different tastes and preferences. For the retro cord skirt by Lee, I see that as a fall/winter piece, best with tights and booties. I would not wear sandals with corduroy, or wear corduroy in summer.
I love the eyelet anthropologie shirt. I have a similar embroidered blouse I bought from Johnny Was just before things closed up. I finally wore it one day to a backyard lunch with my sister. I figured it was the closest I was going to get to going somewhere nice. Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores.
I like the corduroy skirt but I also would think of it more as a fall piece. I like the style of shoes @deb922 posted with the skirt. I donāt see it with a strap sandal. Or as @soozievt suggested with a boot. Years ago my best friend had a favorite skirt like that in denim. She wore it with wooden Dr Scholls sandals. That was a shoe that I never found comfortable. https://www.zappos.com/p/dr-scholls-original-original-collection-camelot/product/8346200/color/9567
Was that a cord skirt? I thought it was denim.
