Did any international student receive the global scholars scholarship
Congrats to all!
My son got in Engineering program with Founders Scholarship and Drexel Grant. Has anyone checked if those are renewable scholarships? I can’t find any info and it doesn’t specify on award letter.
@KANIMBA01 Same question!
My son got in for criminal justice. For those who receive scholarships was that in the same letter/package as the acceptance letter?
My D received grants from another university and they were not guaranteed year after year.
On the Drexel Central Website: “The scholarships are renewable for future years of your undergraduate degree program for the terms you are registered for classes (a total of 12 academic class terms; the scholarship is not available during terms of co-op), provided that you maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA and full-time status.”
scholarships are not the same as Grants. that is what i was responding to a question about grants
I just got accepted into Drexel for Nursing! I was also accepted into their honors program. I received $37,500 in financial aid, a $19,800 grant and a $17,700 founder’s Scholarship. It’s still a lot for me out of pocket, does anyone know if it’s possible they will award me more money or if I can appeal? It is my first choice school but so expensive I have a 4.0 GPA and 1290 SAT score by the way.
Hey!
They aren’t going to increase any amount unless you appeal having a very specific reason like a loss in income,…
I got 35k in scholarship and my EFC is $10k but still I am playing a big gamble to attend Drexel hoping to earn something from the Co-op’s. I have applied to electrical engineering by the way and have a 28 on the ACT.
It is my understanding that the package you receive is good for all 4 or 5 years. If you are in a 5 year program, the merit and grants would be 2/3.
How much less will I pay in the second year than in the first year if I’ll be on a 3 co-op program?
Any estimate?
You will pay you will pay 2/3 of your first year costs if you are on co-op the second year.
DO grants and scholarship remain the same in such a case? @chrissy2018
Grants and scholarships will also be proportioned. So if you get get 15k for attending three quarters Freshman year, you’ll get 10k for attending two quarters Sophomore year.
Can someone sponsor my education at Drexel? I am an Indian. I got a scholarship around 36k but I will still need 25k more to attend. It would be great if anyone among you all can do this, or can show a way out of this
Thanks.
