Looking for some guesstimates on whether on not I can successfully transfer to these schools after my sophomore year. I'm right now in post-submitted fussy panic mode, wishing I had applied to some "safer" schools or just more schools in general. I realize my situation might be a little unique and therefore hard to judge, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Why are you transferring?: I made it clear that I love the school I am currently at, especially for giving me the opportunity to leave highschool early. I am forced to transfer because the (already small) history department at my school vanished. I've chosen the schools I have because they are known for their history departments. Swarthmore and Pomona especially are similar to my current school in that they are both relatively small, personal, and liberal arts (or so they advertise)

Other Essays: for every school I tried to give at least a brief explanation for leaving highschool, since it is the most notable anomaly on my transcripts. I also explain S.T.A.R. since it newly founded group exclusive to our school, but also a good example of initiative to add to the academic/social atmosphere, which is also relevant to my major

Recs: one from adviser/Latin professor who I have taken the most classes with. He also was the one who nominated me for being a Latin Tutor. One from Seminar/Myth professor who's a bit crazy and forgetful, but likes my writing and is told to write good recommendations (if you remind him enough--which I did)

Extra: I left highschool 2 years early to attend my current school. My school specifically accepts students without hs diplomas. I'm aware that past alums have found it hard to get schools to realize that we are not a prep-school, college associated highschool, or community college, but these three schools HAVE accepted our students in the past. So far I've had a difficult time with Rice's admission department because of this (they were confused by both my incomplete HS transcript and my schools recent name change) but everything seems to be sorted out. Haven't heard any such complaints from Swarthmore or Pomona.

I'm wondering if such a strange record would be a good or bad. Sure it makes submitting transcripts a hassle, but it can be seen as an advantage (stands out for sure)
