Dropping a major for a higher GPA?

<p>Hi all...I'm going to be a junior this fall semester at a pretty good undergrad school and am thinking about applying to law school. I don't know too much about the admissions process but by reading some of the posts here, the impression I'm getting is that having a higher GPA is worth more than having a double major. </p>

<p>My question is, how much higher would one's GPA have to be to justify dropping a major?</p>

<p>The reason I ask is I didn't start off college wanting to do law and am doing 2 majors and a minor that I'm really interested in. However, one of the majors and the minor are languages with challenging classes that tend to drop my grades somewhat. My cumulative GPA is around a 3.85 using a +/- grading system. If I drop one of the languages, I know I can raise that. </p>

<p>Is there really a difference between a 3.85 and a 3.9/95?</p>

<p>.05 difference in GPA is not really significant (if you have a decent LSAT) until you're talking about the top 3 schools are so and about maybe GPA-heavy Boalt</p>
