Dropping an extracurricular?

<p>So I’m on the school newspaper but probably going to quit because I want to audition for a play. If I have a leadership position on the newspaper, how detrimental would this be to me? Would my leadership position still count since I had it for three semesters?</p>

<p>Also, the school newspaper is technically a class. Would dropping it cause me to be rescinded if I explain that I’m dropping and why on the app? Thanks!</p>
