Drug Safety

Recently, I was researching some general information about the colleges I applied to and came across this article which ranked Northeastern University the 23rd “druggiest college.” http://www.thedailybeast.com/galleries/2010/12/11/druggiest-colleges.html

It also received a C- on drug safety with mixed individual reviews on niche. https://colleges.niche.com/northeastern-university/drug-safety/

Of course, neither of these are the most credible sources but these and other articles/lists seem to be consistent with each other. It’s unrealistic to find a college with no drug problems but these sources seem imply that drug safety is comparatively low at Northeastern. I’m pretty indifferent to others use of drugs but I’d still like to be some what social while staying out of the drug scene (especially as a pharmacy student). I just wanted to know, from the perspective of students and parents, what the drug culture/ safety is like at Northeastern and how it compares to other colleges.

From my perspective, practical no drug use at all. A few references to marijuana use, one guy I know uses psychedelic mushrooms occasionally.

Definitely not a big druggie school, from my perspective. Nor is it a big drinking/partying school.

Just my view though - maybe someone else will have a different one.

I do not see a big drug or party culture at Northeastern. The school is fairly strict - look at the weekly crime logs - they catch lots of underage drinking or drugs every week. http://huntnewsnu.com/category/crime-log/

I think almost all schools I’ve looked at on Niche get a C for drug use.
