So, I am really considering applying for a position at the Daily Tar Heel for Fall 2009. I LOVE writing and art (apparently, there is a graphics position), but I'm a Biology major, so I don't see myself taking many humanities since I placed out of a good bit of them.

My mother tried to get me to major Journalism, but since I didn't, I feel that a position at DTH will fulfill my writing desire! Hahaha

Anyway, I was wondering: How hard is it to actually GET the position? I looked at the application and it states prior experience is not needed, but it seems that for a great school newspaper such as DTH, there would be very high standards. Any input from students or J-school majors is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
