No. It is necessary to use the US passport to enter the US and the UK passport to enter the UK. When entering and exiting a third country that doesn’t require a visa for a US or UK citizen it wouldn’t particularly matter if one were used entering and the other exiting.
If you’re a dual national, and u enter the US using using your foreign passport, then don’t u have to exit the US using the foreign passport? Otherwise, won’t u be flagged as not having left the US and potentially overstaying as a “foreign national”?
Happymom, this is not the issue at hand though, the question I am asking of drgoogle (who has done it many times) is how they are entering the USA, as US citizen, on non us passports and not being flagged. Unless this is experience from years ago when things were different.
Post #42, I think you made a wrong assumption. I never said I would enter US use a non US passport, that’s why my comment I said t have 2 passports. Only use UK passport to enter UK. It’s not rocket science. It’s quite common sense. The line is long entering UK for non UK passport holder but there is no special advantage for UK passport holder in US that I’m aware off. So of course I use the US passport, which is no advantage but no worse off.
