Ok so here we go, I KNOW this is discussed all the time, but I want to make sure I've thought of everything. I'm a junior jazz guitarist, want both a challenging musical environment and excellent academics, and here's the list thus far:

Harvard/NEC (hahahahaha)
Juilliard/Columbia (hahahahaha, and I know it's not a real program at first)
Tufts/NEC
Oberlin
NYU
USC
Umich
Umass (free tuition)
Peabody/JHU

I'm planning on applying (potentially) for both jazz guitar performance and jazz comp at schools that I can. Eastman/URoch and Northwestern didn't make the list because I don't play classical guitar, and I think it might be too much too worry about to "pick it up" with all the other audition stuff I will be doing.

Any obvious schools I'm missing?

Thanks.
