I definitely want to become an engineer! (not decided in what filed yet ^^)

I've read a lot in the Internet and I stumbled upon a program, called "Dual Degree Program". Tree years I study in a college and then I study two years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or Columbia University.

I am asking because I wonder what to do. To go early in Stanford and study there (if I am accepted) engineering, or to go to the college where my brother studies and take this Dual Degree Program?

well, if you can get into Stanford... why are you even asking this question?

Columbia isn't really that of a great engineering school. and i know some ppl absolutely love RPI here but... no one even dares to match it against the likes of stanford.

and two years at Wash&Lee? for a total of five years? instead of four years at Stanford? whatttt?

wow, i really don't understand college-decisions of some of these ppl.

While Stanford may be great, a more traditional Dual Degree program sometimes fits the bill quite nicely so I think it's kind of ridiculous to discount 3-2 programs. Admittedly, when comparing 4 years at Stanford to 5 years at two universities for two very similar degrees it makes more sense (in my mind) to just do the 4 years at the school of great reputation, but there are other 3-2 programs that pair business and engineering or something similar and I consider something like that worth the extra year if the extra major is of interest. This is just a note in general. I wouldn't do that dual-degree program though, or I can't see any reason to I guess.

Yeah - in fact I am interested in business, not only in engineering because I need money to build my educational center ^^ and at the same time I want to be an engineer... and I don't know what to do - to wait raise the money by just being an engineer or to try to rise them faster?
