My daughter is a junior and she only has one required class left to graduate and it's a course that's available through dual enrollment at the community college. She already has dual enrollment credit for an English class. We are considering letting her do her entire senior year as dual enrollment so she would just take all her classes at the community college with credits being applied towards the eventual Associates Degree.

I have read that high school students who graduate high school at the same time they ear the Associate's Degree are not eligible for the guaranteed transfer agreement and must enroll as a Freshman and their credits will be applied on a course by course basis. I see that GM requires 30 hours be earned at the CC to be eligible. I can't infer from this information if my daughter would qualify for the guaranteed transfer if she takes a year of community college while in high school, and then finishes her associate's degree the year after she graduates, as long as she earns 30 credits post-graduation.

I'm also curious whether students who come in via the guaranteed transfer are eligible for the honors program.

For a variety of reasons (money, gap year, etc), she feels like the 2+2 route would work best for her.

I appreciate any information any one has on this topic.
