Dual Enrollment or Online Courses... Which is better?

I am a junior in high school and we just started registering for next year's classes. I want to take a Calculus BC class, and since it's not offered at my school, I have to take it either online or through dual enrollment at a community college. I was wondering which option would be the best for me.

I'm not really interested in recieving college credits that will transfer. I just want to show that I am willing to go through a rigorous schedule and I don't want to settle for the easy classes offered at my school.

I want to be an engineer, so math classes are pretty important.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely take it at the community college, if commuting and cost are not factors.

If you do well in the class and your professor loves you then you can potentially get a great recommendation.

I find that it’s much easier to learn science/math from a teacher who lectures and is there to answer all your questions right away.

I agree with lolcats4. Obviously, if commuting is an issue, and it is hard to find a class that fits in your schedule (what with HS plus extracurriculars), then online would be fine, I assume.
