Hi,

I am a california junior going back to school this week. For years I grew up in a very nice school district attending some of the highest ranking public schools (10 based on CSTs). Anyways, in 10th parent married and moved to an ultra-conservative private christian school with a decent education but some extremely annoying policies. This year I will complete every worthwhile class the school has to offer, but due to barricading policies CANNOT graduate, even though my total required credit pool will be full and all core classes will be fulfilled. Here is my junior schedule.

AP Economics (Micro/Macro)
AP Biology
Spanish 3
Bible (required)
Cross Country & Golf sports give PE credits

and @ community college S1 (10 HS honors credits per semester per class):
Math Anal 5A, 5B - 5, 4 credits (this is calculus 1, 2) - I am in this one for sure
English 1A, 1B - 4, 4 credits (IF I get in, the local community college district makes it impossible for high school students to get in impacted classes).

So it is possible I will end up taking the easy english classes offered by my school, even though I placed into 1A, which bothers me greatly.

Anyways, my other main concern is that after this year I will have taken every difficult class the school has to offer, but will be forced to stay in school because bible and computer applications, both basically pointless classes, are not taken. I will only be able to take 2 community college courses, as one can't be enrolled full time in CC and HS). I am the only student with this problem, and likely will have the highest class rank after this year. It definitely is an interesting school, I do enjoy being looked at as somewhat special, however I can't imagine what would happen if one of these 11 AP CC people attended it. Any ideas that will not have a negative impact on my future life (I am hopefully going to pursue a JD) are greatly appreciated. I will likely attend UCLA/UCB, these seem like the best choices as they offer public funding.

Suggestions please, I drive and my family is willing to pay money for education. Just attending community college next year sounds great, but will this hurt me? I do enjoy high school, but high school is about education (therefore it is pointless to take a few crappy classes), and I definitely feel college ready. The most important aspect of my decision is how it will affect my future life, and all of you are much more knowledgeable on this than I am.

Thanks!
