Dual Major

I just got accepted to LSA honors. What is less expensive and less time/credit hours consuming: my Dual Degree with English LSA and Ross BBA, or staying in LSA and doing a double major in English and Financial mathematics?

^Less time consuming, English + Fin Math

BBA will get you a lot further then a Fin Math degree though

Also that’s a crazy double major, not sure what the English side will buy you.

I was accepted by LSA. I would like to know if its worthy of dual major in maths and BBA in Ross. Or just double major in Eco and maths in LSA? Which one is less time consuming?

When would be an appropriate time to declare double major?

^Second semester sophomore year once you know that you can complete it in 4 years / have decided to take a 5th year.

Would double majoring in Poli Sci and English be too complicated? They’re both in LSA. I wanted to minor in English, but UM doesn’t offer an English minor.
I have crazy amounts of AP credit if that helps. I don’t want to have to take too many credits in a single semester (around 16 would be max) though, and I am not doing an extra semester. Out of state tuition is already too expensive. My parents won’t be happy about an extra semester.
Oh! This seems like a silly question. If we declare dual majors, will we receive two degrees upon graduating?
Thanks!

History & political science would be great. I never considered Michigan but after looking into it they have the #7 ranked history program & a GREAT library…it’s something to do more research on.

D just finished sophomore year. She was previously an ECON major and just declared a second major in history. She should have no problem completing both majors in 4 years. Double majoring in LSA is very doable in 4 years.

You would only get two different degrees if the majors applied to different degrees ie a BA in English and BBA or BA English and BSc in math or something. A double major in English and polisci would only be a BA with 2 majors
