For anyone who hasn’t interviewed yet:
I just had my interview yesterday at a local Starbucks, and I kid you not, it was THREE HOURS long. As daunting as that may sound, I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation I had. We surprisingly talked about other peoples’ interviews, the local public school system, different approaches to college education, Mac vs PC, and quite a few other topics. It was very very casual. Really helped to further spark my interest in Duke.

Three hours long? Wow!
What did your interviewer say about the other interviews?
Mine was only an hour long!

hey guys, they’re saying that these interviews are casual, and I’m hoping so! Do you think dressing casual is ok for a guy (ie, we don’t need a tie or anything like that?). Also, should I bring a resume or other stuff along? I guess when I read ‘casual’ that’s what they’re thinking…really chillax.

What type of questions did you have for the interviewer?

thank you!

the kitesurfer.

I had my interview yesterday and it went…well, truthfully, it felt really short. I’m not sure if it was because the establishment was closing or the conversation was just lagging but it felt like it ended too soon. I enjoyed my interviewer though. We actually knew a lot of the same people personally (my employer and my teachers, specifically).
