<p>yes, 40 finalists and then narrowed down significantly from there (they have an interview on campus, etc.). It's really hard to even be a finalist though.</p>

<p>yea, scholarships at duke are given to the 4.0uw, 1/XXX, 1600SAT, 36ACT, 800x10 SAT II, 5x10 AP, started own company, did community service in south east asia feeding the homeless, homecoming/prom king, 12varsity letters over 4 years, (3 per year) kind of person... lol</p>
