Let’s give them time. I’m sure they’re all working incredibly hard and busy.
Umm… I give up. I’m going to look for the email tomorrow and go watch His Dark Materials right now
Guess i’ll just start the psych projec that’s due tomorrow
guess i’ll just write my english essay and cry
according to google and ivywise its getting released dec 18 ahhhh
for now imma do my calc hw and cry ab my upcoming test LOL
no of course i was joking lol i’ve heard AOs at places like MIT are reading apps 6-7 days a week because of how many apps they’ve gotten this year. i’m really grateful for how hard they’ve been working
yes i agree. i’ve just been really really stressed especially as the decision comes closer, but i understand the AOs are working super hard and have a lot to do, so props to them I cant even imagine!
Exactly, especially this year under the circumstances with the virus and the huge increase in ED apps. Props to them!
It’s obvious Cap.
atp, I’m hoping it is friday. That way I won’t cry during any of my midterms AND I can have the whole weekend to throw myself a pity party, it’s a win-win!
yeah, i really hope it’s friday because the waiting is killing me. i can’t focus on anything but the decision
Have any of y’all been reading the “is a 4.0 a 4.0” thread? They mentioned the thing about how colleges are less likely to take chances on kids from non-feeder-schools and it’s lowkey scaring me
welp if that’s true, then i’m screwed. no one from my school has gotten in in like a decade or more.
Yeahhh, the only person from my school who ever got in was last years sal and idk how I compare other than that I’m nowhere near being this years sal
i haven’t read it but i think it’s harmful to spread that type of rhetoric even if it has truth to it. of course feeder schools send a lot of people to T20s! that’s how it works. but not everyone who goes to T20s comes from feeder schools. if you’re accomplished, and your application is strong, then don’t count yourself out of the running just because feeder schools are feeder schools. there are tons of people who are the first from their school to get into specific schools, because someone has to be the first. all we can do is wait and see
i can imagine though that especially if someone does not submit test scores and admissions has no one to compare your grades to from your high school, it could cause a little skepticism
I mean, of course always/never are extremes and untrue but do get what you’re saying and I appreciate it. It’s a waiting game atp
Idk what duke’s legacy policy is and I’m not applying ed I’m applying rd and I am just talking from my own school’s history with Duke but at least where I live Duke legacies tend to get in over the other kids from what I have observed. Just an observation though don’t take it too seriously.
decisions come out friday at 7 pm EST according to the portal
yup! i just saw that too. haven’t got an email yet tho.
