Duke Pratt Engineering vs Univ of Michigan

<p>Trying to decide between Pratt and Univ. of Michigan. Will likely major in BME but not absolutely certain. How would you rate the two programs? Also, please compare the surrounding environments in Durham and Ann Arbor.</p>

<p>I chose Duke BME over a scholarship (OOS) at Michigan. Ann Arbor is a MUCH better college town than Durham, though. A^2 is probably one of the best college cities in the country. I’ve had some good times there. But, to me, the decision was super easy for BME.</p>

<p>If you’re set on BME, Duke without a doubt. It has a better program and is a more prestigious school in addition to that. If you decide on another field of engineering, then your decision becomes a lot harder. Do you go to Michigan for the stronger academic program in your area of study or do you go to the better overall university? It’s your choice and you can go either way.</p>
