I’m considering EDing to Duke (my other top pics are UNC, UVA, and maybe UMitch or UCLA). I’m from CT so the state schools I want in the South are kinda hard to get in oos. Also, EDing to Duke would give me a much better chance at acceptance.
I definitely don’t want a school where everyone is super focused only on school and can’t seem to relax or take a break. I love the mix of fun and work at UVA, so I was wondering if it is similar at Duke.
With no college town (at least not w/in walking distance), where do people hang out? Do people party at frat houses?
Just wondering what the social scene is like at Duke and if you would say it’s comparable to the giant frat parties and prominent bar scene at UVA. Any input would be appreciated!
