@Jakesmom1 Congratulations! Similar situation here! Last night my son got two rejections and three waitlists. Duke is the only one who accepted my son yesterday. It was such a surprise for us! I was so sure that Duke was going to waitlist my son like other schools since he didnāt have a interview. Although it was not the first choice for my son at the beginning due to the location for us the most important thing is that Duke is a great school and weāre very grateful! Plan to attend the Blue Devils Day.

@hinande Iād been in touch with the saxophone professor there for a while and had a sample lesson. She told me that she recommended me with the highest rating.

I was accepted to WashU and waitlisted to Duke. Planning premed track. Should I consider WashU?
@3301chap Definitely. Washington is an excellent school of the same caliber as Duke. If you end up getting in off the wait list, then you can reconsider.
Thanks for responding! Yes we are still so excited-it really hasnāt sunk in yet! Which Blue Devil days will you attend? We have been to two thorough campus tours and he is 100% sure its Duke and accepted on the spot so we are not sure if we will go to BDD. Trying to decide?
This is a little late, but I was rejected. 35 SS ACT, 4.0 UW GPA, 4.25 W GPA. Congratulations to everyone that got in!
S Rejected. SAT1600, SAT subject math II 800, Physics 800, only one A- from a national top10 public school, 2 AIME, lots EC, sports and leadership, 500+ volunteer hours. Is there anything he can do to improve the chance? Sure he canāt change his skin color or gender as he is Asian boy.
