Are decisions definitely being released on the 30th?
@lemonstress23 Duke gave that as a firm date. I guess it depends on whether they normally stick to the date they give, or if they always end up falling back to April 1.
@lemonstress23 I would say yes definitely except for the fact that the 30th is a Saturday. So I’ll be checking the 29th too.
@charizaard I know I’m late, but yes… I did get confirmation
Has Duke released any numbers on how many people applied RD? (or total applicants)
Colleges usually release that info when they announce final admission decisions. From Class of 2022: “Last year, we received about 37,300 applications, and we admitted about 3,200 of them for a class of 1,726. That was a little bit big, as we were looking for a class of 1,720.”
@monster123 yes and then a physical copy in the mail monster123
I asked a friend and they got their merit notification in their LL
albertsax @albertsax I received it on the 7th via email, and then a week and a half later in the mail. It basically says the committee “enthusiastically expects” to offer you a spot.
@T20hopeful2023 @FLBeachBaby 41,500 applicants
So were looking at about 6.4% acceptance for RD
In my LL/ Merit Notification they said that 41,000 people applied to Duke this year
Coming up to the last week in March! Congratulations to all those who received an early notification through their likely letters!!
Are likely letters for merit scholarships and recruited athletes?
Also, does anyone know anything about when Duke releases decisions for 2023?
@vc_scrubjay I read somewhere that decisions will come out March 30th, probably around noon since that’s a saturday… let me see if I can find that link again
https://today.duke.edu/2018/12/more-880-early-decision-applicants-admitted-duke
Scroll down to the bottom and it says March 30th
@spacecadet95 Last year’s RD class was told the same thing, in the same type of press release. It was supposed to come out of the 31st (which was once again a Saturday), however an email was sent several days prior to release and it actually came out on Thursday, the 29th. I do not for see that it will be coming out on a Saturday, it has typically been the last Thursday/Friday in the month for the last several years.
@hopewhite25 ok cool… the earlier the better, in my opinion, lol this waiting has me anxious
Duke decisions will be out March 28 at 7pm
Just got this from Duke
Looks like bad news to me…
I want to let you know that Regular Decision applicants to Duke University will be able to view their admissions decisions online beginning 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Financial Aid decisions will also be available online at that time for those whose applications were complete.
