I was just wondering.
What kind of students does Duke University look for? I can’t really make the trip out there since it is so far away. But I just wanted to know what kind of students they usually accept aside from the high GPA.
Only Duke knows its formula, or how many separate piles there are (for the niches they wish to fill), but one thing I think we know for sure is this: they aren’t just looking at test scores and GPA.
They are probably looking for all sorts of kids. Common threads would probably include intelligence; proven work ethic; involvement in something extracurricular; and the ability to succeed at Duke, to improve Duke, and to use Duke’s education to do good things.
