So I'm stuck between ND and Duke. I'm going for neurobiology. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks one school is better than the other and why.

Choose ND, you won’t regret it.

I’ve never visited Duke - but I am completely obsessed with ND. it’s only like a 50 minute drive from my house, so for some reason I find myself going out there a lot. I honestly feel gravitationally attracted to the Notre Dame campus. Each time I’m there, I get excited and fall in love with the school more and more. Duke looks like a fantastic school, and the name is awesome, but there is so much tradition at Notre Dame. Also, the weather may be a factor you may want to consider - Winters in the north suck, as you may or may not know. Personally, I enjoy the weather up here.

If you are asking solely about the strength of your program at the schools, I would have to say to go with Duke, although Notre Dame isn’t far behind. The reason I say this is because Duke has a medical school, whereas ND doesn’t. That could mean a lot of useful networking and research opportunities for you. (Depending on what you want to go into)

Notre Dame is a fantastic school and you won’t regret going there. Duke is also amazing, but I can’t say I’m compelled to go there like I am with ND. I applied to both, and I know I would choose Notre Dame over Duke, even though I am planning to take a Pre-Med route. (I’ll probably end up somewhere like Duke for medical school)

Hope I helped!
