I’m just curious how is Duke’s reputation like in the west coast. Is it virtually unknown, or rather popular with people living in the west?
Will Duke graduates have difficulty finding jobs in the west? Say, in San Fran?

We’ve heard of it. It’s not so hard to get news out here. Once you get your wagon over those big Rockies, it’s mostly downhill from there.
I’d argue that Duke is more highly regarded than some of the lesser Ivies. Pratt produces fantastic engineers and they’re making their mark in a big way.
San Fran and LA are two of the six most popular destinations for Duke grads in recent years. California is the #2 most represented state among the student body (behind North Carolina only). Business Journal ranked Duke as the #5 largest feeder into Silicon Valley (behind only Stanford, Harvey Mudd, MIT, and Yale). Yeah, it’s pretty well known and has a good reputation out there I’d say!
@justonedad I laughed so hard after reading your comment. Thanks for a good chuckle.
