I just got my course recommendations today, but I have a few questions about them. It says that I should use the E-Advisor if I have any questions, but whenever I click on the E-Advisor, it says that it is now closed. What should I do if I need to get in contact with someone regarding course recommendations?

I think E-advisor starts once the schoolyear starts which is stupid because of all the links pointing to it. Which college are you in?

Really? It worked for me. When I click on 'E-Advising', they give me a box to type my question in. I'm in ERC by the way.

hmm I'm in Warren.

Well my problem is that I got recommended for a class that my AP scores exempt me from. I just didn't want to duplicate credit.

By the way, is there any place on the site that lists your AP scores (I just wanted to make sure they actually go them)?

You can check your AP scores under your Academic History on Tritonlink. And E-advisor is working for me, im in sixth college.

Heh, I was wrong above. I was thinking of virtual advisor, not e-advisor. I just looked and E-Advisor seems to be working (and I'm in Warren too).

I'm on the academic history page, but all it shows is my transferred courses. Where exactly should the AP scores be listed?

I know I sent them in (I have the receipt and everything). Hopefully UCSD will let me resend them.

They should be listed under transferred courses.

is there any way to actually like, speak to an advisor over the phone or osmething?

advising works fine for me. im in erc too! but yeah, if ur ap creds cover it then u dont have to take that class. its onyl a recommendation after all.

You know, you can always check your degree audit. It lists your AP scores there too.

actually, im having the same problem as COLLEGE!. I sent in my AP scores and collegeboard sent me the receipt/confirmation that the scores were sent to ucsd. I checked degree audit and the GEs I should have been cleared out of are marked as "required" which means they did not get my AP scores.

so what should i do now? is there a number to call?

^same problem. help!

ok i just called admissions and the lady there was really sweet. she asked me to call back after 10 minutes so she could find my file. Very patient, friendly person. anyway...the number is (858) 534-4831 and they should direct you to the person when u tell them its about AP scores. if not, try (858) 534-4208.

yeah I did the same thing as atlantiz. They said they have my scores and they'll be processing them this week. Just keep checking your Academic History.

If they don't have them, I think they said they'd let you fax them in.

heres the site https://hops.ucsd.edu/virtualadvisor/
