This may sound like a silly question but, I am applying to about 5 colleges EA and one ED. However, for my EA choices (including Tulane, SUNY New Paltz, and others..) does it really HELP applying EA or is it largely the same chance of being admitted as Regular candidates.
Thanks!

Some schools it does, some schools it doesn't. Depends almost completely on the school. Some schools they give you easier admission standards and more scholarships, while other schools actually have harder admissions for EA and a lower acceptance rate than during Regular. Check w. the schools I'd say. For example, schools like UMich says applying early has no effect (though they say apply early on if you want any real scholarship money) while schools like Fordham say applying early gives a lower chance, but they mostly defer (20% Acceptance rate for ea)
