Eagle Scout

Do it! For personal satisfaction if nothing else. Even if it doesn’t seem to mean that much right now.

It will be something you carry with you for life because it is so well respected - kind of like someone whom went to the Olympic trials-- they always have bragging rights to be of that caliber.

I have a friend whose H is Eagle scout- all resumes that have Eagle scout/Gold Award float to the top of the pile. Another 55+ yr old man wistfully told me he is so bummed he didn’t complete it. That’s 35 years later! did it define him that he didn’t finish, maybe…

Parent of Eagle scout. Challenging process-- reach out to all supportive adults to help. Let them now-- where you need badges & enlist their help asap to monitor you. You can start your project w/out finishing your badges- so figure a good project & good time in your busy schedule & submit. My S’s was sent back for modifications at least 3xs :(

Although to your point, I do not believe everyone needs to reach Eagle - the scouting expereinces you have had, you will always treasure, but now since you are so close-- focus & get it done. It will help with the college apps too.
