@komor478 I got my merit money with my acceptance.

I’m in north NJ and I did not receive a letter today. i was really expecting one @nj1818

It was a small one

Merit would be included in the packet I received no merit gpa 4.123 weighted also got into fairfield stonehill and seton hall got very good merit scholarships from all but nothing from providence

My daughter got her acceptance letter today as well and an invite to the honors program with a 60% scholarship.

She has a 4.6 gpa on a 5.0 scale, 2200 on her SATs.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

Was it a separate letter in the packet? My daughter was accepted and has a 4.54 W gpa but no merit money was given.

Yes, it was a separate letter.

PC told us that courses taken and the rigor of those course were more important to them over GPA on it’s own. My daughter took 7 AP courses and most of the rest of her courses were honors throughout her four yeas and she also took two languages for her first three years, dropped one her senior year. Just wanted to share this as well.

Thank-you for your reply. With three AP’s and the rest honors classes we were hoping for some merit money.

My D was accepted, with the 60% tuition scholarship and honors (separate letter, but in same packet as acceptance). She has similar level stats as Dad0524’s D–8 APs, 2140 SAT, top 4 in class of 200, 3 sport athlete (captain of all 3), etc. She loved PC, but is going to be a tough decision!
If you didn’t receive your letter yet, you will likely get it tomorrow! Best of luck!

Did anyone recieve the Friar Scholarship?

@nhhs2018 @artdiva I was expecting some sort of merit too which is pretty disappointing. Not sure if I’m going to be able to afford it now

Got Deferred
-From MA
-3.7 GPA
-Didn’t send SAT/ACT
-Great EC’s
-Toured
I’m shocked, It’s one of my top choices.

The applicant pool most have been competitive this year. I’m shocked that all of you with such great stats were deferred.

Daughter applied ED, accepted with no merit and was not really expecting any….(received $$ from Fairfield & Stonehill) 3.64 GPA all honors classes no APs, captain, CCD teacher…small girls catholic hs. Son was accepted 2 years ago EA (currently at BC) with a 19K merit award and his stats were similar to others on this post who did not receive merit. I am guessing the application pool is getting much stronger.

Deferred. Upward trend in gpa, dual enrollment and honors classes and 1800 sats. I visited multiple times, participated in Friar for a Day and emailed my admission counselor demonstrating interest. PC is my number one… Any advice on what I should do to hopefully get in RD? :(

Accepted with full tuition to liberal arts honors program:) (33ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, full IB diploma with 4 APs)

accepted! but no merit money which I was a little surprised about, unless it comes after the acceptance package. I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, 5.7 weighted. all honors and some AP (my hs doesn’t offer very many) 2180 sats

So excited! I was accepted EA with the St. Dominic Scholarship! I’m very excited and grateful; I still will have to weigh this out with my other options. Good luck to everyone else!
