@carlymack Yes, I did not apply for financial aid or anything… I’m not sure how I feel about that being how decisions are made, that would be quite unfortunate

Seriously really surprised I got deferred

32 ACT, 94.5 GPA UW, 9/10 essay, really good ECS, varsity sports captain
Is this an innumerably high number of deferrals? Is this a bad sign for the rest of my schools considering this was a “safety” school?

Has anybody gotten a decision south of New York / New Jersey yet?

I hate this idea of yield protection (if that is even the case). Applying early decision is pretty much a waste if you get deferred into regular decision anyways just so NEU can see how their RD pool is

I am an internatlonal student and got deferred.

@blueapsos1690 which country are u from?

how much harder do u guys think it’ll be for peopel who are applying next year now?? will the “sat cut off” now be a 2000. not assuming there’s an sat cut off but like the lower end of the sat

I’m crying 30 ACT and 4.3 GPA :(

It is what it is. I’m trying not to worry too much. RD acceptance is still a possibility and there are other schools anyways.

Deferred with 2020 SAT and 31 ACT, 3.6 GPA with very challenging classes. Does anyone know the percentage of deferrals that are accepted regular decision?

Anyone know if NU superscores the ACT? If they do that would be a huge bonus for me

@Colaiste2015 I feel like this must be unprecedented in terms of this many high caliber applicants being deferred

@SisoLc Colombian living in Brazil.

Are they doing all internationals at once? Cause I haven’t gotten anything… from Brazil btw.

bawled my eyes out b/c i got deferred…counselor even said it was my low match/saftey…but everyone in my town below a 4.0 got deferred or rejected this year…even if u had a 3.9/…where as even last year poeple with 3.7s got in…i guess NEU has been tough bc they implemented ED…

@ajd123 they do.

What states got in at 6??

Why is everyone with crazy good stats getting deferred, yet me with my below average stats applying early action (not even ED, got an acceptance today, like two weeks early???

Accepted… which is weird. 1860 SAT and 3.47 UW GPA.
White female from AZ. Really good essay and really good EC’s. Income bracket $250+

@debatingdancer i doubt they get many from northeastern. i might be wrong though.

@debatingdancer don’t question, be happy. Great accomplishment, your overall application must have been impressive.
