Early Action II Discussion

No, not yet. I’m likely to be visiting most of my colleges during March-April. @alexysnichelle

Awesome! Good luck to you and Congrats again! @WeGotThis‌

Thanks you too! @alexysnichelle

@stryelok, not actually… They just out of nowhere change the EA1 for EA2 so hats how I figured it out lol

@AlexysNichelle , that’s awesome!! Hope to meet you one day!! And I’m from orlando, Florida!
I’m also ready to start fresh on Philly!!

Guys, ( sorry for all the questions) but I was just wondering if we are required to visit the school during the accepted students days or can we just go anytime?

Accepted! 34K only though
totally impossible for me to attend… :expressionless:

@UbiCell‌ where did u see your financial aid package

Accepted Nursing major with 52K in aid

D received $76k total aid. Will have to crunch some numbers this weekend.

@honestmom‌ Hiya! Congratulations on both the acceptance and the FA! Did your daughter receive 76K per year, or are you adding that total for all the years? Would you mind me asking how much the sum is in AJ scholarship/grant/etc and whether you’re American? I just want to compare, and I’ve been wondering whether I can ask the FA office to reconsider my award, but as an international student, I’m not quite sure whether I’ll be fighting a losing battle.

That’s total for 4 years, $19k per year, all in an AJ Drexel Scholarship. Have just filed the FAFSA but I don’t expect much if any university aid. D is an American student, from the Philadelphia area and top 25 in her class at the #2 high school in the state. We may appeal the award, when I did the Net Price Calculator it gave her $22,500 in scholarship. I know that is never a guarantee but that’s a decent amount of difference. You should appeal if you think you deserve more aid. I have no idea what Drexel’s reputation is for lowballing initial awards and granting appeals. Good luck!

@elclassico I’m sorry for the late reply! Check out the financial aid tab on your Discover Drexel portal!
@someone007 I’m an international student from India and I got even lesser aid than you did. Could you please tell me how much you received in the Drexel grants and AJ Drexel Scholarship? I’m really worried, as Drexel was my top choice and this much financial aid makes it really impossible for me to attend. :\

Anyways, congrats to both of you for your acceptance!

Do we have to send in our mid year transcripts?

@UbiCell‌ Hi here, sure thing. This is what it looks like:

Drexel Grant: $26,700.00
A. J. Drexel Scholarship: $21,990.00
Total: $48,690.00

Got Honors and 28k a year. plus 5.5 loan coa 67k leaves 39 net price. Got a better offer and honors at Temple.
