Dude those congressional awards are so bs. You can totally lie about your hours. I haaaate it. And are you actually listing all of those out to make it sound like you did more than you actually did? You're just moving up in the amount of hours that you did...

Gold, its a stupid award so congress can make it look like they care. Basically, each level of the award corresponds to a certain number of hours in three categories. They are like community service, personal development, and something else. Its pretty dumb. If you google it you can find more information. It looks impressive to ppl who don't know what it is...

See? Trying to make it sound better than it actually is. All of us have done a lot of comm serivice. personal development can be playing an instrument. Most ppl do a sport. And you don't need a job, I don't know what you're talking about. Their categories are:public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition/exploration which can just be camping, you don't need to explore a new culture...puh-leeze.

alright ashveer...your comments are kind of harsh there. no need to bash anyone's accomplishments. let's keep negative comments like that to ourselves.

I'm sorry if it came off that way. I just wanted to clairfy for everyone, because he was exaggerating about the requirements. I also got the highest level of the award (Gold medal),and don't feel anything special about it.

I think one problem with the program is awareness. They probably dont "advertise" a whole lot because they want to keep numbers low. If you look at the, it pretty much shows that some kid at a high school found out about it, told all their friends about it, and they all got the award.
