I'm pretty sure the CFA isn't worth 10%, at least here.

According to the AFA website under selection, the CFA is part of a 20% section. Along in this 20% is the ALO review, writing sample, and faculty and staff review.

Another 20% is made up of extra curriculum to include Sports, leadership, Community involvement, and work experience.

The final 60% is academic. Academic performance, SAT/ACT, and other aspects such as class rank and so on.

I don't think there is an actual number assigned publicly for the CFA, writing sample, playing a sport, etc... I believe that it's looked at in sections and a total score for that section is given. Later... Mike...

At this point USMA only publishes the maximum score for the CFA on their website (although one of the further links was broken). Quote: Satisfactory completion of the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA) is one of the requirements for admission to the United States Military Academy.

Most people shoot for the mean and are advised to do so. USAFA publishes the mean scores and that's a pretty safe target. However, I have received brochures directly from USMA that give minimums as well as means and maximums for the CFA. Unless things have changed the other academies have minimums but USAFA does not. The brochure was meant to be info primarily for high school counselors.
