I'm a soon to be senior in high school and looking to apply to University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. I have already written my essays and was wondering if applying early helped your chances at all? I've heard a lot of different things. My only issue is that I'm retaking the SAT on October 13th in order to improve my scores and have not yet taken the ACT, is there any way I can apply early and still get the scores from my retaken SAT sent in with my application or can I send those in later? Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm just desperate to apply early but stressing about deadlines.

In order for the applications to be considered “complete” by the school, all components of the application have to be in by the deadline. So if Michigan’s Early Action Deadline is November 1 - tests scores would have to be submitted by the testing organization by that date.

I would check with the school directly to find out if you can update your file with new scores that come in after the November 1 deadline. Definitely not worth relying on second hand information from CC for this one.
