@crowntea I have no idea if it’s good or not. Did you apply EDI? I would think the red X is good because why would they want our mid-year reports if they weren’t interested in us and were planning to reject us on Friday?
@wannabegeneral what do you think the red X in the checklist means?
If any of you guys applied for financial aid, check the financial aid portal and see if it still has the boxes for 2015 tax info or if it says financial aid application is complete
@hcrump i still have boxes for the 2015 tax info
@onefiftyone i applied ED1
I think red box means you could be either accepted or deferred. I think everyone who is accepted will have the x but I also think deferred people will too.
@onefiftyone the mid year report thing has always been at the bottom of the checklist, now they added another to the checklist for some people.
HI guys I also have the red x on the application checklist. This question may be a stupid one but…what should I do with that “x”? Just wait? Because I’m taking end-semester exams and the mid-year report has not come out
Just wait and do nothing?
@wannabegeneral do you think it is a good sign regarding our acceptance decision if they added the mid year report to our checklist? Why would they want it if they aren’t interested in us as students?
All schools usually ask for your Mid Year and Final Year grades so honestly I think it means nothing. Its just them inputing the column into the checklist.
Yeah I think it’s good as in we weren’t denied. However I think both deferred applicants and admitted applicants have the x. I think denied people don’t have the x. I don’t know though. I’m just speculating.
Mine just added the red X and has mid year grades on the checklist too, happened within the past hour. So for anybody that doesn’t have it yet don’t worry because they’re still obviously doing a lot of work on things in the portal now preparing for releasing decisions so don’t read into things too much and cause any more unnecessary anxiety
the red x thing on my GHQ just appeared for me. I doubt it means anything. We just have to sit tight til Friday.
I would suggest not overthinking the X, they just had to add that in because for ED2 and regular decision its a required part of the app, so it has to be on all checklists
does anyone know what the portal will look like if we get deferred/rejected? like for some schools i know it either says accepted or just doesn’t say anything at all…
Everybody get an email?
Yes! A little less than 25 hours left! @hcrump
I am so nervous!!!
Did the financial aid status page shut down for everyone or?
Yes
