Early Decision Applications Conclude for the Class of 2017

An article in the Phoenix:

The Phoenix | Early Decision Applications Conclude for Class of 2017

I guess now it’s on to the 6000+ RD apps!

Thanks dadx3 for all the updates you post here with Swarthmore news. I read them!

My pleasure!

What does “conclude” mean?
Are they done making decisions? Are letters being sent out?

That means they’ve made the decisions, but the last paragraph of the article is

"Although he cannot comment on matriculation and admission statistics until decisions are mailed, Bock said, “We are excited by this year’s combined early pool.”

So I would assume the EDII Committee just wrapped up and they’re prepping the letters to be sent soon to arrive before the Feb. 15th deadline. Good luck!

I actually thought that they were saying that all documentation is in and the individual reviews done. Now they have gone into committee to finalize decisions, thus the reason they don’t know statistics yet. Good luck to all waiting on ED2.

I believe everyone received acceptance/rejection/deferral letters by now. Interestingly, we understand that for some applicants, the decision was made over two weeks ago.

Hope all of you received good news.

Still no news in Houston, TX! Waiting for letter…
