Early Decision I Class of 2016!

Aktaylor explainnnn yourself

did we all give up trying to figure out what Aktaylor was saying…

i think so hahhahahha. got my hopes up for a second

Sorry for all of the chaos, I’ve caused. But on twitter @middlebury they posted a tweet saying “Welcome, class of 2016 ED students”.
from this I thought to make you guys aware…try and check your status. That’s all I’m saying.
Mine is unavailable though. But to the others, try.

Yeah haha don’t worry guys! We’d love to know now of course but think about the fact that 4.5 days is really not that long! We just have to hang in there! Anyone with midterms should use those as an excuse to keep you occupied ;D (Yet look at me, the one who is constantly refreshing this thread…oi)

any1 want to pass the waiting time by answering my question…

what do you guys like about the LACs like Midd? I personally love being in New England and Middlebury is my favorite New England school…how bout you guys? what made you want to apply ED here instead of a “bigger-name school”…though as we already discussed people that do know Midd know that its an amazing school

Well, I didn’t know much about Midd or most LAC’s until this summer. I play baseball, and I got recruited to places like Haverford Pomona and Midd, and of the three Midd was by far my favorite (mainly because the coach at Middlebury was such a great guy.) But the people played a big role. Everyone seemed so welcoming, and when I asked random students walking by they all looked really happy and were excited by my questions. I thought that was really cool to see students so passionate about their school!

that’s cool…I felt the same way when I toured the campus…the second time I came was this fall and i could see how nice the campus was

I was dead set on Brown and Duke. Oh my god. I was absolutely obsessed. I spent a summer at Brown and loved my program but not so much the school. I wanted a close campus away from city life. With Duke I came to terms with myself that it was too much of a reach and they’d give me not the slightest bit of financial aid.

Midd captured me because it’s small, my high school is huge and I want more attention . Midd is in a rural area and I love love the stress they put on sustainable living and living Eco friendly lifestyles. I’ve had bad experiences with foreign languages, so maybe Midd will be another eye opener to discover another language I like.
The study abroad programs are top in the nation and I’ve always had my heart dead set on the east coast.

Aktaylor I can’t find that tweet…maybe they realized they made a mistake.

Maybe.
I’m sorry.
Try @middblogs ?

I guess this is…
@middblog
MiddBlog
And we have the first students to the Class of 2016 (via ED). Welcome to #midd. Give us a shout, if you’re out there…
And somebody replied “decisions are you today??? i didn’t think they came out until next sat…”
Then there is a new tweet…
Hmm – we will double check. Heard some rumblings of it being today hence the tweet, but Dec. 15 sounds way more right to me.

Relax guys. ;)

wait… when the heck are we finding out!!!

I don’t think the middblog is as official as the portal…so still Dec 17 I guess.

Hey-o everybody! Sooo I’m from Nuevo Mexico and both my best friend and I actually applied ED to Midd (crazy… we know). But we get to worry together, which is super fun. Anyway, I was just curious if anyone applied as a Feb? Oh and funny fact I found the other day while stalking midd website (because I pretend I have that kinda time) and at Middlebury they eat an average of 250 pounds of granola per week. I mean I would’ve just made my decision based on that…

How is Duke a reach and Midd not?!

“How is Duke a reach and Midd not?!”

Yes, I was wondering the same thing?

I sound crazy.
I worded that wrong. I just felt a bad vibe. A sense of over competitiveness. Plus I REALLY despise hot/warm weather.

Best wishes to everyone here. I wanted to apply ED1, but had to switch to ED2. More waiting. . .

@SophieQD - How do you think applying as a Feb might impact the process? Do you think it makes it easier or harder for admission?
