<p>There have been many questions about ED notification dates.</p>
<p>The position of the admission office is that decisions are released on or before Dec 15. I believe the exact dates of notification are usually released toward the end of November or early December depending upon how the application reading process is going. For what it is worth a search of CC revealed the following ED notification dates (via admission web site notification) for the past few years.</p>

I too have been stalking ED notification threads of yesteryear, and have noticed that they all know the exact date and time (it was 5 pm last year, I believe) that ED notifications would occur. I wonder how they managed this? Will Columbia give us a more specific date (and hopefully time) as Dec 15th approaches?</p>
<p>Yes - At some point it will be posted on the admission web site and I believe you will probably receive an email from admissions concerning the exact notification date. If I remember correctly students are usually notified of the exact date by late November or early December. Decisions are available on the admissions web site with your ID number. It is usually posted after 5 or 6 PM.</p>
