Early Decision or Early Action- Chance me at Fordham Please!

Hi everyone! I was wondering if somebody could chance me at Gabelli Business School at Fordham U!

I have a 3.55 GPA and 1300 SAT (660 Math)

AP Courses: 5, 2 of which are during my senior year (along with 5 honors classes over the course of 4 years). Got 4s and 5s on all of the AP exams. (Took al of the ‘business’ classes offered at school.

Extracurriculars: VP of the school’s magazine, played JV volleyball for 3 years, key club, part of the school’s climate committee, senior ambassador, volunteer regularly with the town’s library. Part of 3 honors societies.

Caucasian, first person in my family attending college. (Strong essay and 2 letters of rec by teachers in Math and English classes).

I’m struggling with if i should apply ED or EA! Do I have any chance getting in if I apply EA? Or should I apply ED if I want any chance of going to Gabelli? Thanks!

I’d say Fordham is a bit of a reach for you but worth a shot. Note that Gabelli likes to see a math SAT of 670+

If Fordham gives a bump for ED and it is your top choice then consider that option.

Fordham is known for being a very expensive school and having low yield. I would not recommend ED unless it is absolutely where you want to go and willing to pay. You are below the 25th percentile for admitted (1320) but Fordham has an 10% yield rate so in its enrolled profile you are above the 25th percentile mark. Fordham accepts about 4000 students with your score by this metric but your GPA is also fairly low for the school. Your ec’s also seem fairly good.
