Early Decision: Undergraduate chemical engineer

Hi. I'm new to this forum and hope to get some great help from a large group of people

I'm going to be a senior in high school. Its summer and I know that I have to get ready for colleges.

First of all, I plan to major in chemistry in college and needed some help

** What would be the best college to choose for chemical engineer with
early decision?? **

-private schools only (University of California doesn't offer early decision)

Thank you so much!

If you absolutely want to do ED for chemical engineering then Cornell and Carnegie Mellon are probably good options. Also, Harvey Mudd is great as well, even though it’s a liberal arts college.

There are also many great ChemE schools that offer EA, like Stanford, Caltech, MIT, and Princeton.

Why are you so intent on ED?

When I’m searching online, theres always two different kind of colleges
one with “highest doctorate”
and one not.

the highest doctorate chemical engineering would give me: MIT, CalTech, USB, etc
and the other would give me: Rose, Rowan, Cooper, Bucknell, etc

Can anyone tell me the differences?

The first set of schools refers to PhD-granting schools; these are generally larger research universities. The second set of schools only offers masters and bachelor’s degrees; these schools are more teaching oriented and less focused on research.
