Earlier this year I decided that I wanted to graduate early. I'm seeing this through and will end up graduating next December, six months ahead of my class. I plan to spend the semester off living in Nicaragua by myself. I am not interested in any sort of program but will spend some of my time tutoring the local children in English. What I'm wondering is if this will be beneficial when applying to colleges? Or will it detract from my application. Just so you know, my cumulative GPA so far is a 3.9, I scored an 1880 on my SAT, I have held multiple leadership positions at my school, all while working two jobs. Anyways, back to the question. Will my 6 months abroad add or subtract from my application? Thanks for your responses!
