Early Start?

I am an incoming freshman and I live in a rather competitive family. My sibling is attending Princeton and has been a big help to getting me prepped for college admissions. Anyways, he recommended me going to this site and I was just wondering if there are any tips you guys have for me. Thank you for taking the time.

Freshman in high school? Do as well as you can in all of your courses. Try not to focus on college admissions right now. Work hard on what you have to deal with now. Also, have some fun.

Keep your grades up, do things that interest you, and don’t worry too much. Do rigorous courses, EFC. To the best of your ability but take care of yourself - your social life, your mental health, your sleep schedule, etc. Don’t spend your first two years in HS worrying about not getting into Prindeton.

HS Freshman? Do the best you can in the most challenging curriculum you can handle. Get involved in activities you truly care about. Be a good person. Enjoy HS life. When the time comes prepare for standardized tests. And stay off this site for the next 2 years.

Join a bunch of activities to try them out, without worrying about choosing yet- that comes sophomore year, after you’ve explored your interests. Work hard in your classes and form good relationships with teachers. Try a sport, or theatre, or find an internship/job that might interest you. Basically, keep your options open and learn a lot.
