Earning college credits at a community college

Hi, I am a senior that will soon be a college freshmen this coming fall. I would like to know if I can take college classes for credit at my local community college? If so, how would I go about it? Thanks.

You can knock all of your prerequisite classes out at a community college and transfer from there. Just find contact information for the community college you’d like to attend.

Check to make sure taking summer classes doesn’t jeopardize financial aid. Some colleges will no longer consider you a freshman if you take summer courses at another college. If you got grants from your school, you may lose them.

The rules aren’t so simple about what transfers and they become more complicated once you matriculate. It’s good to ask first. My kids had a lot of AP, CC, and Rutgers credits prior to graduating high school.
