Easiest SAT II Science?

CMU243..basically..its either this. If u can understand math and understand concepts..u are ready for Chem. But..if u wanna memorize a ton of facts...bio. i went to bio without even prepping for it and did bad. but chem..its easy. i duno why people think its hard

umm physics is def. the easiest.. i cant believe u guys are debating it.. 8% of people get 800s.. while only 2 or 3% get 800s in chem and bio...

both bio and chem are a breeze if you take the AP course

which has the biggest curve: bio or chem?

CMU, follow haosquared's advice: get the Real SAT II book and take the bio, chem and physics practice tests. I'm no expert on the SAT II science tests, but I do know the difficulty of the tests is entirely relative to each student and their experience. You're getting a variety of answers because there is no right answer.

That said, I'd guess honors bio and studying will be fine...the only question is when you took bio...if you're taking it now, then that should be fine. If you took it a while ago, you'll have a lot of reviewing to do...

The approximate curves, taken from the Real SAT IIs book:

Chem - a perfect raw score is 85 points.
As low as 78 raw points = 800 scaled.
60 raw points = 700 scaled.

Physics - a perfect raw score is 75 points
As low as 63 raw points = 800 scaled.
45-46 raw points = 700 scaled.

For some reason I don't have the Bio scale...the pages are torn out. Maybe someone else with the book can post it.

The Physics curve is certainly more generous than the Chem, but they're both pretty generous.

my question for you is.. if you have little experience in the subjects, why do you insist on taking a science SAT2? You will not do well if you are not prepared. Simple. There's plenty of other tests, such as history, languages, or literature that you might perform better on.

the school I want to apply to requires it. I am taking honors chem at this time though. However, the class is not intesive, so I dont' think it will be enough to do well on the SAT II Chem test. I also had Honors Bio in my freshman year. It was moderatly intensive and I still have my notes. I don't know which to take. Any advice with the information about myself that I have given?

bio easy --> me, 800 after bio 1

puddinggirl: is bio 1 a honors bio in your school? Was your class really intensive? Did you guys get through your whole book? Which SAT II bio test did you take?
