<p>why bend your back to find the "easiest" major at ucsd when you could go to a less difficult school with a major that INTERESTS you? admissions folks at law school arent retarded...they would prob prefer a good gpa in math at a state school than a good gpa in magical slavic poetry at a higher ranked school. Because that's prob the easiest major at ucsd...something fluffy and pretty much useless</p>

<p>I was by no means implying that i was going to major in something that does not interest me. Nor did i express that i do not want to or think that I am capable of succeeding at UCSD in any arena. I simply am sure that different majors have different curves, and I am curious as to which majors have appealing curves. By no means is that the only factor in a decision, but living in reality, it is a factor that any practical students looking towards graduate school ought to face. Can anyone help rather than criticize?</p>

<p>Ok. Do NOT do that. First, your GPA is only one part. It just has to be high enough for your application to get considered. Then it comes down to your essays, LSATs and interview. Med schools are even more strongly grade based but I still chose to be a BioE, one of the hardest majors you can possible sign up for (you take all the hard math, hard chem, hard physics, and hard bio) But I believe that it will pay off in the long run. While it's almost impossible to get a 4.0, I just need to scrape a 3.7. Taking all those hard classes wil definitely help my MCAT scores. Once I m in med school, I'll have a hella easier time that those kids who were econ majors just to boost their GPA.</p>

<p>what the hell? i'm not being racist at all. it'd be the same thing if i said 'latino studies' or 'asian american studies'. i actually know someone majoring in african american studies and i know that u don't need to do much. sorry if it sounded racist, but it should be real obvious i had no intent to be racist at all</p>
