Easy A 4 unit classes?

Ya....so pretty much done with my reqs for both majors and just want a random fun with little work or reading since I feel an oubreak of senioritis coming on. And I need recommended classes for this fall specifically.

NOTE: I really would like a 4 unit easy a class. 3 units easy A classes will not cut it. lol.

btw. please dont suggest classes like mcb 102 or Physics 7A or whatever. i wasnt born yesterday...hahaha. also, i know about the search function here and courserank but I want fresh answers :)

happy end of summer :( LOL?

AsAmSt 128AC. All you need to do is show up to every class (because the difference between an A and A- is attendance).

And the only book you really need to buy is the Malcolm X autobiography.

Econ 136 (Financial Econ) with Prof Shomali. Open book multiple choice exams (25 questions on each MT, I think it was the same or a couple more questions for the final, don’t remember). Class is not curved though but it’s really easy since the questions are all basic plug and chug and the equations are all in the textbook which you’ll have with you during the exams. HW questions are from the textbook, and you can always buy the solutions manual if you are really lazy.

Waitlist is full but there are still 25 seats left, so you might still be able to get in if you meet the restrictions.

any language course. german 1 is pretty easy oh but i guess it’d be waitlisted by now…

thanks arduous and copper!

berklebear: yeah most lang classes seem full at this point. is there any reason why swahili alone is only 4 units when all the rest are 5?

keep em cominnnnnn

asamst 128ac also has no discussion. Seems like a plus to me. And lots of seats available. Enrolling in that class atm.

I second Econ 136. I took Econ 101B which is Shomali’s “hard” class, and it was a joke. I’m taking Econ 136 this fall with him. I should also mention you don’t need to show up for lecture, as about 90% of the class stops showing up after the second week.

man, I wish econ 136 would count as a pre req for upper division haas courses. Instead I have to take ugba 103.

Anybody know the #CCN to african drumming?

lol nice. is that music 148? i was looking at that one too. i dont think they’ll give em out till after the audition though right?

can freshmen take asian 128ac?

youcrazyboy: Yeah, Bazian doesn’t care, he just wants you to take his class. And don’t be put off/afraid because he likes to go off tangents and is off schedule. In the end, he will test you on things he didn’t cover, but he will give you a study guide and all the questions will come off of that. Really easy yet interesting class.

so the books aren’t necessary besides malcom x for asamast 128ac? Cuz his syllabus has a lot of required books listed.

I’m still looking for a fun upper division class worth 4 units. Anyone have any more suggestions? Thank you!

Ankur—You can read the books if you want, but he gives you a study guide and all questions on the exams are on that study guide (and all questions on the study guide will be on the exam). The only book I found useful was the autobiography because he tests that but doesn’t lecture a lot on it. You do have to do 3 papers and the first one is on the first book (about slavery and Islam), but as long as you show that you know the topic (which he lectures on), you’ll get the check plus.

I mean, he could have changed the structure of the class, but I wouldn’t think so. Do what you feel is right.

I missed the first lecture for asian american studies 128ac so would this affect my grade since attendance matters? Can someone tell me what happened on Monday? Thanks!

mcb 102 for the win

^^ u r such a twat. someone get this ■■■■■ off CC

Why would you want an easy class? Challenges are fun!
