Easy New National Business Contest? anybody applying?

I have just stumbled across International Banking :D

Thanks lolilaughed  haha I’m in Texas so I guess that means I’m central.

Lcuky centralist! :frowning: and you mean Investment banking?

Err yes. Crap, I look like an idiot now, and I’m too lazy to edit it!

Haha what section are you in?

I’m in the eastern national section – I think west and east are equal more or less in their difficulty… :/

So I assume central is the easiest? That makes this so much better!

this is entirely speculative but I do believe central is the easiest (least revered colleges/prestigious colleges there)

keep in mind that NOVA does do a weighting ===

middle school students get “weighted” applications compared to the high school students (no weight) and college students (negative weight).

Yea…imagine the HS junior having to compete against the kid with a 3.94 at Wharton or NYU Stern.

Well just because there are not as many reputable schools does not necessarily mean that it’s easier :P

People do apply to out of state schools

This is true except I believe the weighting will really help with the application process for middle school/high school students. Just look at the 1st Nation:

[delos chang](http://www.novachallenge.org)–> i met one of them at a summer program a few years ago. I believe delos is a junior right now == in middle school as a national nova winner.

[Business Contest NOVA CHALLENGE](http://www.novachallenge.org) <– where is the faq?

-Ah nvm, Investment Banking is not for me.

:(

^ :frowning: it’s a lot of work. gl to all applicants for that besat of an event

omg woot. I just completed persuasive writing on www.novachallenge.com
time to start personal finance haha

Mmmm as long as I don’t have a challenge from any one of you fine chaps, it’s all good :D

(as in stay away from central  )

Hey, cho, do you have any advice for less open ended competitions like ibii

oh dont worry nick, im all the way on eastern :D

Is it just me, or are the competition prompts written rather poorly? The language is really stilted and there are tons of grammatical errors. oh wells…maybe we can do the same in our essays? LOL :)

^ HAHA this is true. however, keep in mind that the prompts, i believe, are first round prompts … meaning… that they’ll update the prompts to make it more definitive…

they did this a few years ago. They seemed to rush through all the prompts…but then they revised the prompts around 2 weeks later and everything magically became clearer…

not sure why though

Wow the Investment Banking Prompt is SUPER HARD two recommendations from teachers! I mean wow tons of work. Out of all the [Nova business contest](http://www.novachallenge.org) prompts i think IB is the coolest sounding. Winning that would be pretty awesome.

Yes, the IBII has the toughest competition all the time because…well IB is a tough career…very definitive…

i wonder when the next round of prompt revisions will come.
