Zelda Fitzgerald: I’ll probably learn by next summer. My parents will probably force me to learn. We even have a spare car that I could use…

Wisdomsomehow: Thanks! At least I know that I could get by without one.

I heard that University Park can be dangerous. Do you usually feel safe?

Chelsea, you get a job on campus. The school offers work study and jobs that can be worked around class schedule. Most are super easy. Some you can still socialize and meet other students (eg, library.) Many are higher pay than going off campus. And, I am not certain you’d want to work in the immediate USC neighborhood. You work on campus. You can probably find work study info on the college web site.

Lookingforward: I’m definitely going to do that! I couldn’t imagine not working when I go off to college.

I usually feel safe. I try not to walk alone after dark. There are plenty of trams and buses and campus cruiser that go lots of places, so walking isn’t always necessary, though it may be faster than waiting for Cruiser. Someone did steal my bike, but I didn’t lock it up properly. Oh, and my iPod touch was stolen at Relay for Life (I mean really?!). But I don’t feel particularly unsafe, you just have to be careful and not dumb.
